Northern Trailblazers Basketball Families, construction has begun on the Franklin and Main Park in downtown Fort McMurray. The park features a full-size FIBA basketball court and multi-use surface that we’re very excited about. Check out the final design of the basketball court below.
The new Franklin and Main Park is part of the Downtown revitalization program. The Franklin and Main Park project will play a vital role in continuing to enhance downtown with improvements and opportunities as part of Downtown Revitalization. The park will address the need for parks and outdoor spaces that contribute to improved safety, beautification, address vacant land, and spur revitalization activity. It will provide comfortable pedestrian-friendly gathering places in a beautiful setting that attracts the community, encourages investment downtown, and supports surrounding businesses.

Due to the continuing increase in COVID-19 numbers, we have decided to pause ALL programming until it is safe to resume. Our hopes are that we can facilitate programming this Summer and into the Fall season.
