Our logo identity above has been developed to embody Northern Trailblazers Basketball’s unique goals, values, and qualities. The warm gold colour communicates friendliness and a welcoming atmosphere, fun, optimism, and achievement. the shades of green symbolize growth, stamina, vitality, and visually support the environmental connection in the name “Northern Trailblazer”. The Buffalo image pays homage to Fort McMurray and the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo in Alberta. The Buffalo embodies strength, speed, endurance, athleticism, and team spirit. The logotype is set in all caps sans-serif in order to improve readability at a small scale, and to improve accessibility for persons with reading impairments. The line illustration and the oblique type of style set in the “Trailblazers” logotype communicates athleticism, movement, and speed. Thick lines, defined illustration elements, and high contrast colours are applied to the logo to improve recognition and legibility at a distance (or at a smaller scale) in print and digital mediums.
