Tomorrow is the WNBA Canada Game (Sat. May 4 at Rogers Place in Edmonton)! This will be an unforgettable experience for everyone!---Kia Nurse is a Canadian professional basketball player known for her exceptional skills on the court. Born on February 22, 1996, in Hamilton, Ontario, Kia began her basketball journey in the Ontario basketball system, eventually earning a spot on the University of Connecticut Huskies in the NCAA. She emerged as a key player during her time at UConn, helping the team secure NCAA championships in 2015 & 2016.After her collegiate career, she transitioned to the professional level, joining the Women's National Basketball Association. She was selected by the New York Liberty in the first round of the 2018 WNBA Draft and quickly made her mark in the league with her scoring ability, defensive prowess, and leadership on the court. Since being drafted, she has played for the Phoenix Mercury, Seattle Storm, and now the LA Sparks.In addition to her WNBA career, Nurse has represented Canada on the international stage, competing in events such as the Olympics and the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup.
