At Northern Trailblazers Basketball, we try to offer programs for children with different levels of interest in basketball. Our mission statement is to facilitate a premier basketball community in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo while promoting a fun and competitive environment that develops hard-working athletes for sport and life. Our goal as a club is to prepare our athletes to become leaders in their community. We believe that lessons learned through athletics can translate to other areas of life and can enhance personal experiences. Creating memories that build character and develop self-confidence. We currently offer four different kinds of year-round programming.
Early Development
We offer 2 Co-ed early development programs (Grasshoppers and Juniors program) featuring age-appropriate drills and games that will introduce young athletes to basic athletic movements and fundamentals of the game of basketball. These programs are for children ages 3-4 for Grasshoppers and 5-6 for Juniors.
House Leagues
Our House League programs offer boys and girls ages 7-14 an opportunity to experience the game of basketball and improve their basketball skills in the context of both team practices and league play.
Individual Training
Training sessions focus on developing athletic muscles, building basketball awareness, and improving player skill level. Individual skill development and shooting sessions are conducted in small group settings.
Elite Teams
Our elite program develops players from a very young age giving beginners a sound foundation and a very strong challenge to the more advanced players. It has been very successful in helping players become better and more disciplined athletes.
