This past weekend 9 Northern Trailblazers Elite teams travelled to Edmonton to compete in the Swoosh Volvo Challenge. The Swoosh Volvo Challenge is one of the most competitive tournaments in Western Canada. This year over 150 teams competed in the tournament which began on Friday and concluded on Sunday.
NTB teams finished with a 28-8 record and brought home 5 Championship trophies and two 2nd place trophies. 4 teams finished the tournament with a perfect record.

The NTB Elite program runs from September to July. Select players from Fort McMurray are chosen to train with the program and compete against teams from all over Western Canada. Tryouts for Elite teams are held in September, if your child is interested in the Elite program please be on the lookout for tryout information. Which we will release in August.
Progress This Season
This season has been one of the most successful elite seasons to date. So far this Spring season NTB teams have had 7 first-place finishes and 3 second-place finishes. Bringing home 7 Gold trophies and 3 Silver trophies. None of the success would be possible without the following coaches.
